He deals primarily with the following aspects of employment law: implementation (employment contracts, remuneration and incentive policies, office rules and policies), acquisition, restructuring, relations with worker representatives and unions (negotiation of collective agreements, elections, etc.), TUPE, remuneration and social coverage of top management, as well as secondment/expatriation.

ABOUT:    Hervé Borensztejn is the regional leader of Heidrick Consulting in Europe. He is based in Heidrick & Struggles’ Paris office. With 30 years of experience in several organizations, Hervé focuses on leadership transformation, organization effectiveness, and talent development for global companies. He is a recognized expert and keynote speaker on workforce planning, R&D HR, corporate universities, HR strategies, and future of HR.  Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Hervé was partner in a consulting firm specializing in strategy and transformation where he significantly  grew the corporate transformation business. Previously, he was chief human resources officer of  Converteam – General Electric Power Conversion for four years. Prior to that, he served as chief people development officer at EADS Group for 10 years. Hervé started his career working with the Corporate University of Vivendi to accelerate its transformation.

Hervé is an associate professor at La Sorbonne University where he teaches human resources at master and executive master levels.  He is the author of Growing Talents, a Corporate Duty, which was published in 2008. He also co-wrote several books, including The ManageorThe Golden Book of CoachingEt La ConfianceBordel, and A.C.E., a Sustainable Methodology to Transform Organizations.

Education:  Hervé earned a masters degree in engineering and economics sciences and Ph.D. in economics from the Paris School of Mines. He is also a certified executive coach. He is fluent in English and French.
