Memo from
ED COHEN, Conference Moderator,
CEO & Editor, Global HR News

Continuing our tradition of presenting top-class education in a 1st-rate, collaborative learning atmosphere, I welcome you to this unique LUNCH n'LEARN. Small and streamlined by-design, April 4th is a highly-interactive "think tank" on hot issues. This is not a sales event. Subject-matter experts who manage corporate business in the role as Providers or Suppliers are invited to register and/or cosponsor.

April 4th is an interactive discussion designed to address the challenges of expanding into the European market to help you get it right the first time. HR’s role is a crucial competitive edge in a company’s growth strategy. It is important for HR professionals to be prepared before companies begin their international expansion in order to act quickly when the right opportunities and hires become available. This session will help you understand what is expected from the European authorities in key countries, prepare and familiarize you with the different procedures in Europe versus the US, and the benefits needed to help you attract and retain the right people.

Topics of discussion will be:

• EU HR regulations and policies:
To help you understand the framework in which you will be operating and which your local hires will be familiar with.

• EU Payroll:
Understanding the social security differences and costs, the structure of the pay stub and why it matters to you. • Employee Benefits – (local practices and culture):
When making offers it is key to get the balance between consistent global culture and local expectation to make sure that you are able to hire and retain the best talent.

The session will also give delegates the opportunity to ask questions and share their own ideas and experiences.

Global HR News will be making a donation from a portion of proceeds to selected charities. Seating is very limited. If you cannot attend this time please consider signing-up for the next in a series that will be announced very soon. Thank you... see you soon.
